Gustavus Ademu-John - BA Architecture

Gus Ademu

Professional Accomplishments: Gustavus Ademu-John is an architect with over thirty years of architectural experience. Mr. Ademu-John attended Pratt Institute in New York. After graduation he worked for several mid size architectural firms in New York.

His early work experience was predominately in luxury residential projects. In 1982 he was employed with ARDEE a firm that had a lot of interior experience with commercial projects.

At ARDEE he developed as a project manager overseeing and managing products for clients in commercial and institutional buildings.

In 1985 Gustavus Ademu-John embarked on a bold new adventure by starting his own company in Manhattan. His company The Rainbow Design Group specialized in interior finishes and has had the distinct honor of working on many major projects in the New York tri state area.

The Science Lab Project

The Prince of Wales School Lab Refurbishment and Supply Project will be a comprehensive attempt to change the effectiveness of science teaching, through providing competitive environment for laboratory instruction.

The project will be a joint undertaking of the Prince of Wales School and all the Old Princewalean and Prince of Wales Alumni Associations in Freetown, North America and Europe.

Each year since 1999, the National Organization of Sierra Leoneans in North America (NOSLINA) recognizes individuals or organizations for exemplary contributions to Sierra Leoneans in North America and in Sierra Leone. This year, the Global Alumni of the Prince of Wales School received the Community Leadership Award for superior leadership and commitment to provide world class education to the next generation of Sierra Leoneans, to compete both in the global workplace and contribute to the development of Sierra Leone.
